Hunter Hearst Helmsley: Triple H Now an Exec

From a WCW start up, to now being Senior Advisor to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and Head of WWE's talent development department,  Triple H holds complete creative control over his television character's storylines, win/loss record, and championship reigns.  One can say that Hunter Hearst Hemsley has played ‘The Game’ well.

Triple H came to the WWF as sophisticated chap.  Triple H appeared in taped vignettes, in which he talked about how to use proper etiquette, up until his wrestling debut on the April 30, 1995 episode of WWF Wrestling Challenge

At first, Triple H was pushed heavily toward the direction of becoming a champion, but a series of unfortunate events led to that being stalled.  It was not until he became a member of Degeneration X, more commonly known as DX, that he resumed his path to gold.

As a member of DX, Triple H dropped his good boy image and became a rebel. He and Shawn Michaels became known for their risqué promos—spawning the catchphrase "Suck It", while using a crotch hand motion. When Michaels was forced to temporarily retire due to real life neck injuries, Triple H assumed the leadership position of the group.  Bringing in X-Pac, and the New Age Outlaws, Triple H informed the WWE Universe that his former friend, Michaels, dropped the ball and he was picking it up.

Degeneration X became one of the most succesful stables in WWE history, but all good things must eventually come to an end.  Triple turned into a villain when he turned his back on his stable members.  This next era is known as the McMahon-Hemsley era.  This is the era where he bestows the title ‘The Game’ onto himself.  In real life, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H were an item, and the WWE played off of that.  Of course, in true WWE fashion, they ended the relationship with Triple publicly dumping Stephanie when they were about to renew their wedding vows on Raw.

Triple H went on to form Evolution with Randy Orton, Batista, and Ric Flair.  He enjoyed success, but as always, egos get in the way and that ended.  DX did come together for a short period of time, but that ended as well because of Shawn Michael’s retiring for the last time.

When you look on Ebay for items memorabilia regarding Triple H, the items are endless.  The collectability of the old school DX shirts, posters, and even CDs with the theme song on it are a true wrestling fans dream.  Hunter Hearst Helmsley is a rarity in the WWE.  He was able to create two stables, DX and Evolution, and in turn, created much revenue for the WWE through the sale of tons of memorabilia.  When you browse Triple H items on eBay, you can get a veritable tour of WWE history from a long, illustrious and sometimes controversial career.
